Pros
  • Company ruled by standard processes.
  • Experienced colleagues.
  • Many projects. You may find a better or just another job inside the company if you are lucky.
  • Some very interesting projects.
Cons
  • Some older projects were uninteresting; you needed to learn outdated technologies that you will never use in your career again.
  • Processes sometimes take a long time, with very limited agility. You just wait and wait and wait.
  • Openspaces do not allow for good focus.
  • Management does not listen to the voice of the people. OK, they listen, but real actions are taken only rarely.
  • Average salary, with just a few benefits.
  • Really small or no contact with the customer.
  • The company is very large and reorganizes itself every two years. Sometimes I was not able to remember my department name and org. structure.
  • Quite official atmosphere.
Advice to Management

Although I know you don't care about it:

Listen more to people; democracy works, but is harder to do.

Even if my review might seem negative, I recommend working here, although I have already experienced much better companies in my small town. Who knows, maybe I will sometime consider working here again, too. :)
