A great culture and a company that's growing in size and revenues. It's an exciting place to work, with plenty of room to grow or blaze a new trail for yourself. You're surrounded by very smart (and very nice) people. Senior leadership is well-respected and has earned it.
Intern topics are a little bit restricted. A three-month internship is not enough for researching deeply into their core technologies. There are a lot of things to learn at the beginning. The IT and hardware have some problems, and too many security issues.
Your efforts to meaningfully engage with employees are well appreciated!
Continue to address problems quickly as they arise, and try to pinpoint the areas where each individual can improve on a daily basis.
Also, set some long-term goals so everybody understands the growth potential.
Pretty smooth! The interview process was very streamlined and well coordinated. Right from the beginning, the communication was clear and timely. The interviewers and HR were friendly. Overall, it was a positive and candidate-friendly process.
Just ask some behavioral questions like: * Introduce yourself. * What's your GPA? * Why did you apply to us? * Where did you find us? If you pass, you will have one more turn for technical questions.
I was asked about projects and topics, such as polymorphism. I was also asked how I tested projects. There were a few STAR-style questions as well. I talked to only the main engineering manager. Overall, it was a relatively simple interview.
