I was approached by the talent acquisition manager at Slalom OC/SD and had a one-hour in-person meeting with him, followed by a technical phone screening by a solutions architect. I finally had two one-hour whiteboard sessions with two lead/principal cloud experts.
Phone screening was mainly about my experiences with AWS and recent migration projects I was in charge of. He covered various topics in DevOps and .NET development, as well as SQL questions within the AWS environment. He made me feel pretty comfortable and told me many positive things about Slalom, which is always nice to hear from someone who's considering working there.
Whiteboarding sessions included more in-depth modern software design concepts (DI, REST WebAPI, Redundancy, Resilient design, etc.). They had me design an architecture diagram for my recent development projects as well as a generic web server environment in AWS, followed by detailed questions to probe my knowledge and understanding of the architecture. They also asked a couple of container questions.
