Cons: I worked hard at Snap, 10 AM - 8 PM every day, plus I replied to messages/emails after work hours. My manager never complained about my performance. Suddenly, I got an email in the morning asking me to pack my personal stuff and leave the company. Management used to say we are a family during all-hands meetings. It turned out that's how they treat their family.

Pros: Great product, and passionate user base.

Cons: The Engineering leadership is really weak. They can't stand up to the arbitrary whims of an inexperienced CEO.

Pros: Nice location and good benefits & perks (on paper). From the policies, I feel the leadership team does care a lot about employees.

Cons: The office buildings are all beach houses, which is completely unprofessional. It looks great on paper, but working in a beach house is not a good experience. What's written on paper is not what's actually being executed. Leadership team changes its mind way too often. Company culture is bad. I feel like I'm living in a lie all the time. Management says one thing while meaning the complete opposite. There is no transparency at all. I think 95%+ are committed to the company only because of the RSU equity, and everyone I've talked to has admitted the company culture is speed and lies.
