A Disrespectful and Disorganized Experience – 6 Months of Frustration and Zero Communication
I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with the interview process at Snowflake. Over the span of 6 exhausting months, I was subjected to 10 interviews, only to be unceremoniously dismissed after the final round with the hiring manager. The process was not just frustrating; it was a glaring example of how not to treat candidates.
The most egregious issue was the complete lack of communication from the recruiter. At no point during this marathon of interviews was there any clear or consistent communication about where I stood in the process, what the next steps would be, or even basic updates on timelines. The recruiter was seemingly indifferent, often leaving me in the dark for weeks at a time, forcing me to chase them down for basic information.
This lack of communication made an already lengthy and repetitive process even more stressful. Each interview felt like a meaningless formality, with no feedback provided after each stage. The recruiter’s absence and lack of involvement were glaring, contributing to a sense of being completely undervalued as a candidate.
The final straw was the last-minute decision to reject my candidacy after the final interview with the hiring manager, after previously communicating otherwise. This came with no prior indication that there were any concerns or issues, and, unsurprisingly, without any meaningful feedback or explanation.
In my view, Snowflake is plagued by disorganization and a fundamental lack of respect for candidates. The recruiter’s poor communication and the company’s haphazard process made this the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. I strongly advise potential applicants to reconsider investing their time and energy in an organization that clearly doesn’t have its act together.
