No matter where you are in your career, fresh out of college or have years of experience, Sales at Snowflake is challenging, exciting, and rewarding.
Taking this one step further, the Corporate Sales team is all of that, times 100.
The job is not easy; it's hard work, no joke. But if working hard, staying curious, continually learning something new about yourself, selling effectively, and technology are things you like, this is probably the most exciting and rewarding job you'll have in your career.
As someone that didn't come from the industry, learning our product, the competition/industry landscape, and finding prospective customers was very difficult. I probably thought of quitting at least once a day, but what kept me going was the people and the support they showed me during my first few months at the job.
The direct managers in the CAE team are smart, both emotionally and intellectually, and will push you to find your strengths and weaknesses, and encourage you to focus on your strengths.
The VP is my favorite part of the org because he is personally invested in his reps' growth and success, which sometimes means showing us "tough love".
If you do care about being part of an organization that is growing faster than any other org, both within and outside of the company, the CAE team is the right team for you. But keep in mind that you will have to deliver quality work; it's hard work and requires a commitment to learning and growing daily. If you do so, success is guaranteed!
Since everyone has a unique and different experience, depending on personalities and backgrounds, I will write about my own journey being on the CAE team at Snowflake. This job is not for Sales Reps that are looking for "easy money." Being a successful rep in the CAE team comes with hard work, consistency, patience, and persistence.
This is the type of job that will make everything else you've done in the past look easy, but that's why becoming successful here is so much more rewarding and exciting. It's the type of hard work that, when you look back, you will say: It was all worth it.
Work/life balance can be challenging at times if you don't prioritize, but it is not impossible with the benefits that are offered:
Pretty tough. The OA was three LeetCode hards, consisting of DP/backtracking. Then I had two back-to-back technical interviews, which were once again LeetCode hards and pretty challenging. The interviewers were also stone cold and distant throughout
I only did OA. Their OA is sent automatically after you apply. There are three OA rounds, which are really hard. They include some DP problems and string problems.
The interview process began with an HR call on Zoom. I was asked about my background and experiences as a full stack engineer, and what language I was most proficient in.
