Fast-growing exposure to good projects. Amazing people; get to work with pretty awesome founders.
Think twice if you are joining Zheng Mi’s org. The only way he manages people is by managing them out. He is too political and never gives constructive feedback or helps you grow in your career. Whenever you talk to him about promotions, he starts talking about how good he was and how he grew into his role. He thinks he is superior, and his performance reviews are purely based on his personal bias. Speaking of biases, he makes impressions on his reportees, and the curse will follow throughout their careers. He has made his career at Snowflake only by playing politics and talking behind your back. During quarterly feedback, he says only good things and stalls promotions. Unless you are joining Zheng Mi’s org, it is a great company to work for.
Please revamp performance management, especially in engineering organizations.
Steps: * Applied Online * Recruiter Call: Explained Interview Loop and scheduled Interview * Screening Assessment Round: Coding and System Design * One hour each for Coding and System Design Round * Feedback within a week
The process began with informal calls with the hiring manager and recruiter. This was followed by an online coding interview and a system design interview. The final stage consisted of half a day of onsite interviews at their office.
The process is tiring: recruiter call, coding, system design, then on-site: coding again, presentation, manager interview, etc. They were kind. It's not worth to waste so much time to get rejected.
