Interview process stages:

• Team Lead initial Zoom call
• Home task
• Pairing via Zoom with another team member regarding the home task
• Team Lead Zoom call
• Director of Engineering Zoom call.

Everyone was very nice throughout the process.

The issue was the last interview with the Director of Engineering.

First of all, Snyk didn't bother to let me know that they would not make an offer. After about 1.5 weeks, I sent an inquiry email, and they responded that I failed to pass the interview.

Apparently, the Engineering Director decided to fail my application. The Director concluded that MAYBE I would be afraid to make a stand and voice my code opinions against other team members. This was really shocking.

Perhaps deciding whether a person is a good fit from a personality point of view should happen before spending so much of their time (including the home test).

On the positive side, I really like that Snyk provides feedback regarding the process.
