I applied for the position over a weekend and heard back from a recruiting coordinator the very next business day. After ensuring that I was a fit for the job requirements, the next day I had a 1x1 phone screening interview with the hiring manager, followed by a take-home coding assignment. After I submitted my solution, I heard back the next day that SoFi invited me to an in-person interview with the engineering team on-site in Helena.
A few days after that, I was informed that the company would not be proceeding with me in the hiring process.
From start to finish, the entire process took just under two weeks. The longest period waiting for communication was between the on-site interview and the decision to decline or extend an offer, which is understandable. While I was disappointed that I didn't receive a job offer from SoFi, I commend them for their prompt communication in all regards and would not hesitate to recommend them to other job seekers.
I was asked questions about my solution to the previously completed coding assignment, and was also asked what the output of a sample Python code snippet would be.
