My recruiter was very nice and helpful. I passed the HackerRank screen, then had a short screen with him. It felt like we hit it off and he seemed to really like me. He told me a day he would get back to me about next steps.
That day came and went. A few days later, I emailed him asking for an update. He gave me another day that I could expect to hear back (apparently the hiring managers were very busy).
Finally, after around three weeks since my screen, he sent me a (very nice) email saying they went with other candidates. Overall, I really liked the recruiter and the interview experience wasn’t bad, but I felt like I got strung along and kept as a backup while they waited for other people to accept their offers or something. I'm not sure what happened, but I wish they would have been more transparent.
