Initial call with recruiter and hiring manager.
There was a follow-up homework assignment.
As an interviewer myself, I was not inclined to do them, as DS&A are faster and have mutual time investment.
I risked trying out new ideas to check if they were fixated on specifics. After all, interviews are a two-way street.
I didn’t get the offer, but the overall process was professional. I ended up getting multiple offers, and Sofi helped to eliminate companies that asked for a home assignment.
I would consider them again for non-assignment-related roles in the future.
