SAVE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL TRAUMA.
I aced the interviews and received good feedback. The recruiter contacted me again, asking if I had competing offers, which I did. Then, they went completely silent for a month.
Subsequently, someone else reached out, saying, "You really had good feedback. We have a position on another team; are you open?" I still was.
They interviewed me again, which also went great. The hiring manager and team gave their approval and extended an offer via email. We mutually agreed to a number.
The next day, they rescinded the offer, stating, "Leadership will not move forward."
The recruiters placed all the blame on leadership, portraying them in a negative light by saying hiring managers and leadership are not in sync and don't trust each other. Apparently, leadership doesn't want to delve into the context; they genuinely don't care.
So, I am unsure what is happening here. This experience is truly haunting me.
The recruiters' tone changed in the blink of an eye; they went from praising me to insulting me within a day after I had already invested three months in the process.
They wasted so much of my time, energy, and caused me such mental distress.
Brace for humiliation if you still want to interview.
