Dealing with the actual SoFi staff was awesome. They knew their stuff and were very professional and prompt.
The recruiter experience was pretty bad, though. It seems the recruiters are way too busy and gave me the feeling that I was just a number.

Pros: The people here are pretty good to work with. The C-level staff are fairly responsive to feedback and open about decision making. Even if you don't always agree with them, they're not a black box. They've moved to having fully remote opportunities and are very lenient with hybrid remote/office work.
* Half days on Fridays
* Unbounded vacation time
Very sensitive to work/life balance and understanding when you need to miss or leave work for any reason.
Cons: Currently, there is no 401k matching in benefits. There is constant talk about "improving culture" from upper-level management to the point you'll never want to hear the word again.

Pros: Managers absolutely care about your career growth, in some cases even more than you do.
As long as it’s not abused, employees have a lot of freedom when they need to leave work to run errands or deal with family issues.
The work is always changing, and the company makes it a point that if you don’t like what you are doing, try to change teams before changing companies.
Coworkers and management are friendly. Companies' meetings can be corny, but they feel genuine.
Great learning environment.
Cons: Your team can be spread throughout multiple offices, so your manager may only know you through a screen instead of working by your side.
