Pros

Compensation is okay for the first 2 years. So, Friday.

Cons

Culture is completely broken. Pushing the engineering team to think about resiliency but moving all the engineers to report to product. I feel this is a completely broken piece here. Your performance is assessed by product people who only care about delivery. Maybe you just take all the shortcuts to get a good rating for a few years then quit.

Another broken piece: the CTO never helped the engineering team establish a good relationship with the BU to make a win-win.

Due to the above two, there is no career growth for every single engineer in the team.

Advice to Management

You need to consider what kind of leadership team you have to push the innovation/tech-first direction to be implemented in the whole team. Delivering good results is good for the company, but not for the future.
