Hardware Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

The interview process was generally disjointed.

I had previous experience at the company, and the team wasn't aware of this during their first screen.

I completed a second phone screen with Claire Hsu. It went well, with the exception of a technical question asked at the end. Though I answered the first part of the question correctly, the second part was very vague and open-ended, lacking parameters or conditions.

Questions

On a fixed-free cantilever beam with a point load at the free end, where will the highest stress occur and how will the beam fail?
