Three Rounds of Phone Interviews
1st Round with Technical Recruiter who asked technical screening questions about beams, materials, and stress/strain. An 80% passing rate was required to advance to the next round.
2nd Round with an Engineer Team Lead on Starship who conducted a technical review of the resume. It's important to review the details of everything on your resume to be able to discuss them at length. This round also included working through a common buoyancy problem, assessing how you think through challenges and remain calm under pressure.
3rd Round with a Different Engineer Team Lead on Starship who asked more design-specific questions about projects, focusing on how you approached challenges and determining your direct responsibility or ownership of project components. This round also involved conceptual technical questions about tension and lift/drag mechanics.
