I recently had an on-site interview that was a quite negative experience. Before the on-site, there were two rounds of technical phone interviews and preparation for a technical presentation. The slides were forwarded to the team three days before the on-site for review. I received the green light without actual feedback.

I went to the company and finished the presentation, and one round of a 1:1 interview. Suddenly, the next interviewer was nowhere to be found, and the recruiter was also very puzzled. For the next ten minutes, there was no explanation or message from the hiring manager about the no-show. Essentially, they walked out of the interview without any notice. My recruiter said he would let me know what happened.

This was the first time such an incident occurred in my ten-plus years of career life.

The presentation was average, not disastrous. A few questions were asked during the presentation, but none of them were related to my field of study, which surprised me.

At the end of the day, there was still no response from SpaceX. I sent an email stating I would withdraw my application, as the practice was humiliating to candidates. I cannot speak for the rest of the company, but at least this wasn't the first time they walked out in the middle of an interview process, a very drastic contrast to the image they present to the general public.

As mentioned above, not very hard and in depth.
