Process

The SpaceX interview process is very extensive. Approximately two months elapsed between my application and my onsite interview.

The process consists of:

  • An initial phone screen
  • One or more technical phone interviews, which focused on core engineering knowledge and asked resume-focused questions.

The onsite interview consisted of a 20-minute technical presentation to a team of engineers, followed by a series of one-on-one interviews with managers and higher-level engineers. These interviews covered:

  • Software (coding exercises)
  • Hardware (understanding of test procedures)
  • EE fundamentals (circuit diagrams, understanding circuit components)
  • Personality (classic HR questions)

The onsite process took approximately six hours and was rather grueling. I received an offer within 24 hours of the onsite, which I declined.
