It is hard to find more fulfilling worth than at SpaceX, even what was normally annoying work elsewhere carries a weight of excitement at SpaceX. Almost everyone shares the same passion for space and space technology, which is a huge plus too.
There’s definitely a pressure to work as hard as possible, and sometimes various parties may not align on priorities.
Aligning on priorities will go a huge way in not wasting work and making sure that the most optimal work is being done at any given time.
I applied for a Software Engineer Data position. It was fine. - 1 hour leetcode style interview on codility - The difficulty was medium - I had an alright experience - Was able to get brute force but not optimized solution
Phone call with a recruiter discussing: * SpaceX and its goals * My resume and professional experience * Interest in the role * Availability to work overtime * Ability to handle additional responsibilities when needed for the position
Call with HR to discuss basic qualification and citizenship. A 4-hour technical take-home assignment was very difficult. In order to make it to the next round, all test cases must pass.
