Process

The interview process was quite quick, lasting about 2-3 weeks. I approached them on LinkedIn, as I am a product user and love it, hoping to be a part of the team.

The recruiter reached out to me for a phone interview with the manager. After three days, they stated they were moving forward with another candidate.

Ten days later, the recruiter called again, saying it did not work out with the first candidate and asked if I was still interested. Then followed five 45-minute interviews with team members, product owners, and the manager combined.

I stumbled in one exercise round where the interviewer asked me to write a query. The first one I could not get, and the second wasn't giving any result, even after the interviewee tried it himself. It turned out there should have been a single quote instead of a double quote.

Three out of the other four interviews were great, and the fourth one was not bad either, to which I answered about 80% of the questions I had worked on.

I was expecting an offer, as the last interview ended on a high note, but unfortunately received a reply saying it was not a fit.

I understand the decision of wanting the best fit for the job but would have appreciated some feedback on which I can work and may be apply later, as I aspire to work there in the near future.

I would not complain, though. All the interviewees were pretty calm and made me feel comfortable during the whole process, while sharing their career paths and the company culture.
