I applied online and, within two days, received an email to schedule an interview with the recruiter. Two days later, I interviewed with the hiring manager. Less than a day after that, I received an invitation for a six-hour separate interview with different team members.
Then... nothing... silence...
I emailed the recruiter, who promised a reply within two days, but then... nothing... silence...
I suspect the application will remain marked as "In Process" until the role automatically closes and I receive an automated response. I initially thought my experience was odd, but to my surprise, it's quite common according to other reviews. I can now see why they communicate with candidates using a message board and are careful not to use or include their email addresses :)
Dear Splunk Recruiting,
You have the right to reject candidates with or without reason, but I don't think it's appropriate to just 'ghost.' You may offer the best pay, possess super technology, or even be the success of the century, but none of that gives you the right to 'ghost' candidates who spent hours upon hours speaking with you.
Please show some courtesy and respect. If you truly have a great culture as you claim (or as others say), it should show in the interview process. Years from now, people who have been mistreated by you will still remember. Should your paths cross again, you won't like the outcome.
At the time of this review, out of 500+ reviews, 47% are negative experiences.
