Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I attended a career fair meeting. Afterward, the person I met there called me unexpectedly to ask some technical questions. Once I answered them, they wanted to schedule a programming skills test. They then emailed me the specifications for this test. I was given four hours to complete the task, writing the solution in two different languages. It was quite straightforward.

After completing the initial task, they asked me to implement it in a different way than I had initially. This was also relatively easy. However, I suppose it wasn't easy enough, because they did not call me back for a further interview. I'm unsure what went wrong, as there was no communication regarding this.
