Phone interview and onsite.

1. One round phone interview covered the basics of computer science, including OS, synchronization, networking, distributed systems, and software engineering processes. Two simple coding questions were presented on a shared editor.

After this, I was informed there would be an onsite interview. The recruiter contacted me to discuss salary details. When I provided my annual salary, bonus, and equity ($105k + $10k + $7k), the recruiter remained silent. He then stated he would get back to me regarding the onsite schedule. Since they did not wish to proceed due to salary expectations, they arranged a second phone interview as a formality. This was not a technical interview, and they informed me they would not be proceeding further after that.

This is not difficult for a good engineer with decent experience in distributed systems.
