I applied online. The process took 4 weeks.
Extremely unprofessional conclusion to a demanding interview process. I participated in multiple rounds of interviews including a recruiter screen, technical screen, and super day with 4 interviews (3 technical, 1 behavioral). The interviews were difficult but fair and allowed candidates to showcase a range of skills used every day in software engineering.
After my final round, I was told that I passed the interviews and received positive feedback from the team, but that they were "waiting for more headcount to open up" and we would continue with the team match process at that point. Stripe reposted the same job listing a month later, indicating that more headcount opened, and I reached out to follow up.
I have now reached out multiple times over email and phone but have been completely ignored. After the time commitment for both me and the employees who interviewed me, a proper rejection is the least Stripe could do. The conclusion of this interview process has been completely unprofessional.
