I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. I had an initial call with the recruiter, sharing my current projects and experience. The recruiter was a nice person and walked me through the job requirements and team-specific details. They also shared the interview process in detail. There were two rounds of initial screening.
Once I passed these two rounds, they would conduct the next set of interviews, which consisted of three rounds. Both of the initial screening rounds were scheduled for the same day.
The recruiter mentioned that the first round would be an LLD (Low-Level Design) round using my preferred language. The second round would be a discussion with the Hiring Manager. I prepared extensively for the LLD round. However, during the actual interview, to my total disappointment, they asked two data structure (DS) questions. Since I was preparing for other companies as well, I was easily able to solve the questions. The interviewers were not overly friendly but not rude either; they were quiet for most of the time. Overall, this round was okay.
Then, in the second round, a person who seemed uninterested in the interview sat with a rude expression. He acted as if he knew everything and asked me to share my previous project experiences. While I was talking and sharing my previous projects, he was smirking. He was very rude, and I felt like ending the interview right away due to his behavior. However, I somehow completed the hour-long interview.
LC medium for first round.
Previous project experience in second round.
