Applied online. Spoke to the recruiter working on the position for approximately 30 minutes and was put through to a technical screen. The interviewer did not call in the first attempt at the technical screen due to timezone confusion. After a few days, the technical screen was actually conducted. The interview involved working on a small API to find minimum valued records in a map. The interviewer warned me that candidates who interviewed using C/C++ tended to "not score highly," but, having not worked in another language in a few months, I chose to use C++ anyway. The assessment itself was very easy but could probably be done twice as fast in Python/JS. I don't think I got through enough of the questions to pass some arbitrary minimum threshold and received a generic rejection the next day. I would rate this as a negative interview experience had the engineer doing my technical screen not been so friendly and professional.
