NYC office was nice. Pay was competitive.
Normalized culture of firing instead of investing in engineers. I witnessed over 10 firings, both of new and tenured engineers.
I witnessed one promotion in that same time period, with people constantly bringing up management's lack of focus on career progression in all-hands to deaf ears.
Engineering experience is painful, and the tech debt is some of the worst that I've seen in the industry, and little is done to tackle it.
I took their offer because it was 20% better than my second best offer, and I still regret it. Seriously, it is not worth it. I cannot stress that enough.
I have no advice left to give for management, because none of it is ever acted on at this company.
CodeSignal OA, then an HR round followed by more rounds. Standard GCA Assessment, but rejected at the HR round. Not sure about how the technical interviews are, as I didn't make it.
Basic phone screen (experience, describe a project). They then had me schedule a pre-screen Codesignal assessment. The pre-screen needed to be completed within 3 days of receiving it. There were 4 questions in 70 minutes.
Very Rude and Racist Interviewer! The code is easy, but the interviewer is very rude. He even mentioned the N-word after seeing me on Zoom. I will definitely sue this company!
