Process

HR called me and set up a phone round.

Phone screen round: Asked one LeetCode hard question.

Immediately communicated the phone round result and set up logistics for the next step.

Onsite was five rounds, including one lunch.

Questions

The phone interview question focused on the logic of a very famous Windows game. The whole idea was similar to pair programming, where the interviewer allowed the candidate to drive the discussion by asking questions and understanding the problem scenario. Good coding practice, communication, and problem-solving abilities were tested. A solid 15 minutes was set aside for team fitment and personality-type questions.

Onsite: HR communication was prompt; my onsite interview was scheduled for the next couple of days after the phone interview. Everyone I met, from HR to the interviewers, was professional, courteous, and genuinely nice. Each interview had two interviewers.

The first was a design interview that included an in-depth discussion about design logic decisions and all possible scenarios it could cover.

The rest of the interviews featured LeetCode medium-to-hard type questions that required problem-solving and coding on a whiteboard. In each of these rounds, at least 15 minutes were allocated for my questions and general team fitment queries. This is a company that strongly values its culture, and I found that being humble, relaxed, and honest goes a long way in the evaluation process.

The last round was with the engineering managers. They asked several conflict resolution questions. They provided a clear picture of the position's requirements and asked probing questions about how I used my problem-solving skills in real life, wanting to know how I made design and technology decisions. Managers here strongly prefer self-starters who are honest and humble.
