Lead Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, Karnataka

Process

HR initially discussed my experience and salary and arranged the interview for the lead engineer position. The first round of the interview went very well.

After the first round, HR told me that the feedback was very positive, but they couldn’t offer me the lead engineer role simply because they require at least 8 YOE, and I only have 6.

She suggested I apply for the senior engineer role and also said there isn’t much difference in salary range. I accepted the conditions, and then she scheduled my second round, which was a 3-hour machine coding round.

I solved the complete task and answered all the questions that were asked. This round went even better than the first one.

After that, there was no communication for the next 15 days. HR ghosted me and stopped responding to my calls. After multiple attempts, she finally picked up the call and told me a number that was 65% of my current salary.

I am very frustrated by the time wasted and the lack of professionalism of the HRs. An absolutely pathetic experience.
