Software Engineer Interview Experience - Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

Process

The screening process typically began with phone calls from HR and the hiring manager, followed by a 4-hour on-site interview. This involved meeting with two managers, two developers, and one architect for approximately 45 minutes each.

Overall, it was a good experience, although a bit grueling. By the final interview, I was finding it difficult to repeat the same qualifications, and I struggled (more or less) when asked to whiteboard the design for an older project on my resume.

Additionally, the interviewers seemed unfamiliar with the term SQA, and many questions felt generic, as if pulled from the web (e.g., "What is the difference between Java and JavaScript?" - which seemed nonsensical).
