Process
I met recruiters at a career fair at the university and gave them my resume.
They contacted me for an on-campus interview where they asked me behavioral questions.
Later, they flew me out to Minneapolis where I had two interviews with engineers. After the interviews, they gave us a tour of the headquarters and of the city.
Overall, it was a good experience!

Pros: My 10-week-long experience at Target must have been one of the best internship program experiences in the Twin Cities.
I was placed on a new team building an application from the ground up, so I experienced different levels of the iterative application development cycle.
Both my manager and mentor were awesome!
Cons: Experience was team-based.
Some interns were placed in fields of computer science that they didn't desire to work in (e.g., back-end, infrastructure, security).
My advice would be to hire for those specific team types.
The program was also quite short. Separating the number of interns into two waves of 12+ weeks could work with scheduling and be more desirable.

Pros: Great insurance and benefits value. Managers seem to receive intense training on how to treat employees properly. I've really enjoyed my time here so far.
Cons: Large companies and C-suite shifts make some job expectations out of your control.
