I was asked to solve a use case on my own laptop before appearing for the interview. It was to be evaluated as the very first round, and HR would timely follow up for the same.
However, after I reached the venue with the solution, the interviewer did not bother to look at it and asked five questions solely from DS/algo.
I requested him to discuss some technical aspects from my previous work experience, and then he stated, "In no good company will you be judged based on your previous work or experience." (Such funny nonsense I heard for the first time in my life!).
It was a complete waste of time, offering no learning experience. They should not have asked me to solve the use case, wasting a professional's time, if it wasn't going to be reviewed.
On a positive note, the attitude of the HR personnel was very friendly and professional.
