I started by being in contact with a recruiter during the Fall semester. I had an initial screening with HR, which consisted of basic HR questions. After that, I had an interview with a senior engineer who asked some technical questions about the technologies I use.
Following that, I was invited for an on-campus interview. They flew me from Florida to Minneapolis and I had two back-to-back interviews with two different engineering managers. These interviews were actually much more laid back than I had imagined. I was asked about my resume, technologies, why I wanted to be in that program, and my projects. I was also given time to ask questions.
Afterwards, the engineers who were in the program I was applying for showed a couple of us (interviewees) around Target HQ.
Before going to the on-campus interview, I should also mention that you are given a HackerRank assessment.
