Pros

Benefits, a lot of external benefits to leverage for career building, education advancement, and wellness benefits.

Cons

SDs and higher are so out of touch with the reality of the salesfloor, the demand on the team, and the impossible expectations.

DSD, GVP, OD, and BPs come in and do not give any sort of praise. I cannot remember the last time anyone visiting made me feel good about the job I do and my team does every day.

We are TIRED. Not only fed up, but physically exhausted from the past eight months of continuous freight flow and not having the payroll to support it.

ETLs are required to work 50 hours but expected to stay and work themselves to death.

This job has affected my career terribly. I was sold career advancement, continuous improvement, and constant growth, yet I have been denied career opportunities that I came to the company to pursue. I have been trapped in this role and am looking to get out. It is not a healthy environment for any of my leadership in the building.

The turnover is horrible.

The constant beat down from higher "leadership," the overwhelming workload, and the long hours have affected my mood, my marriage, and my relationship with my kids, and it is nowhere near worth it. The pathetic raises, the laughable "bonuses." Just don't do it.

Advice to Management

Try giving actual leadership guidance.

"Just push it," "Just clear the backroom".... DUH! What do we pay you people for?

Try coming into a store and recognizing improvement, recognizing a great brand, recognizing and thanking the leaders who are away from their families and lives to serve you in your impossible missions. Try throwing our compliments instead of killing our motivation every time you come into the building.
