Good company for many positions, not for ETL

Pros

Benefits, both traditional and less traditional (free food, flexibility, etc.), positive environment, chances for growth and change, potential for transfer.

Cons

ETLs are held to incredibly high standards, yet they are not valued for their contributions. As the company does more and more to care for team members, team leaders, and other roles (which is great and far above industry competitors!), they do the reverse to ETLs, expecting more of them while treating them worse. They have worked to minimize compensation offers, minimize raises, and lower bonuses.

Advice to Management

Decide if the ETL role is valuable and has value over the long term, or make it clear that you are looking for a turn-and-burn style leadership role where you rely on working ETLs to the bone so they leave after a few short years.

Please consider doing more to ensure your great messages are reaching store leaders. If a store leader isn't bought in on Diversity & Inclusion, the store won't be living the values of Target.
