People who work the least but can talk the talk are recognized and promoted.
Work-life balance is terrible. Work long days, evenings, weekends, even overnights when asked.
For ETLs, I feel employees would stay longer if there was better work-life balance. Perhaps having assigned shifts so at least you have regular hours would help (e.g., an opening ETL, closing ETL, weekend ETL, overnight ETL). Give incentives to those who work the less appealing schedules. This could help keep your employees.
