I applied online.
Recruiter -> Concurrency, Systems Design -> Concurrency, Systems Design (yes, 2 loops of the same thing)
Recruiter was clearly going down a list where they asked me if I had experience with servers - couldn't at all elaborate on what they meant by "server experience", same for messaging queues, job queues etc, when it clearly states on my resume I have experience with K8s, Kafka, etc. Then they asked me to rate my own skills on concurrency, using some rubric from beginner to advanced, as if anyone with half a brain wouldn't just say "advanced."
Got rejected the next week because I'm assuming my experience wasn't properly represented at all on the intake.
Do you have experience with servers?
