Process

A recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn and started the conversation with promises of upfrontness about compensation and benefits, also claiming the company offered visa sponsorships. After two lengthy phone calls, the recruiter simply stopped responding to emails and texts without so much as an explanation. After two months of ghosting, they sent an email saying my case had been transferred to a different recruiter. This new recruiter then stated they weren't ready to share salary or benefits information until I went through their legal department and submitted all my immigration documents for analysis. I ended up declining to continue.

Six months later, I learned through the news that the whole department had been fired after an apparently frequent Musk freakout. Dodged a bullet there.
