I had applied online via the website, with a little hope that the recruiter would see my resume among the pool of others. One day, I received a call mentioning an opening in Vehicle Engineering and that there would be a skills test on a software platform. I had already interned there for a summer, so I knew what I was getting into and was willing to work with this diversified pool of engineers. The recruiter arranged my interviews with the manager over the phone. He asked me a series of questions to grasp my abilities for the work I might be expected to do there. He explained, all the way, how things work and what they were expecting. He asked, "Would you be interested?"
Once that was done, they called me for an on-site interview (all expenses paid/reimbursed). They arranged my interview with six different people at successive times, half an hour each. I recommend taking a water bottle with you; it's not that they don't have water, but it's a bit rude to get out of your seat for water all the time. However, don't be nervous and drink too much as well.
After six different interviews with people of various grades, I left. One week later, I got a call saying the director wished to interview me. I was fine with it and did that. Total time: approximately 0.5 hours for the recruiter interview + 0.5 hours for the manager + 3 hours for the six interviews + 1 hour for the director, so a total of 5 hours. And mind you, I was talking for 5 hours answering their questions.
Then I was selected. I had another offer, but the environment here was good. I am single, not committed, so long working hours are fine with me. I was expecting this.
It was a technical one; all others were ok, not a problem.
