Received a call from my Tesla recruiter regarding the position. It was a 15-20 minute call where I was asked about previous positions and job tasks. It was positive for the most part, and then I was told I would be reached out to for a second interview with an engineer.
Had a one-on-one interview with a Process Engineer, who was also the hiring manager (which I didn't know). He asked about my previous work experience and why I would like to work at Tesla. He gave me the okay on the interview and notified me that I was advancing to the next interview, which was a 20-minute presentation to a panel of six engineers. The presentation was about an incident or experience where I couldn't finish a task and how I resolved the issue. It had to be done in a PowerPoint presentation to six engineers: 20 minutes to present to all of them, and then splitting into three separate pairs of panelists to ask questions.
Presentation/Panel questions. Be prepared and practice with friends and family on questions they might ask.
Got offered the position and offered an hourly rate for the role.
Background check and drug screening.
