Was a controls team, so heavy focus on vehicle dynamics basics as well as firmware. Initial assessment was on CoderPad, then I had two rounds of interviews. Was extremely technical; basically no behavioral questions at all.

Pros: My team at Tesla brought up interns like real full-time engineers and allowed us to contribute to meaningful projects. Many other large tech companies will give throwaway work in some form of an "intern project."
Cons: Stipend and specifically housing support would be to alleviate the stress of securing short-term leases.
