A few days after applying to an open position, I received a template email inviting me to complete a technical assignment.
I completed the technical assignment, and even though I scored very close to 100% through the automated unit tests, a week after completing the test, I received another template email saying that I did not pass the threshold.
At no point through this process have I been reached out by an actual recruiter or treated like a human being. Even the email communications have been completely anonymized and were entirely generic, created from a template.
It's extremely disappointing that such a large company doesn't treat potential candidates like human beings and does not even pretend to do so.
This experience has been a lesson for me and has completely changed my view of this company and its brand name. The way a company treats its potential candidates is the same way it treats its employees and its customers.
