Process

The interview process consisted of multiple stages of screening, including both technical and cultural assessments.

I applied for a Software Engineer position at Gigafactory Berlin.

The process began with an HR phone screen, followed by two interviews with technical managers. These interviews covered basic technical questions. It's recommended to refresh fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and computer science in general.

Next was a take-home challenge, which involved implementing a basic REST API using Go's standard library.

Finally, there was a panel interview. This was preceded by a presentation about a particular project I had worked on previously.

The panel consisted of 3 or 4 consecutive interviews with engineering team members. The atmosphere was quite laid-back, giving the impression it was more about getting to know each other than scrutinizing technical details. I received interesting questions related to my presentation, and overall, I was truly impressed that the team actively listened to it.
