The interview was broken down into 6 rounds:
First Round: This was with the recruiter. It was pretty easy, just going over your resume.
Second Round: This was with the hiring manager. It had a single, non-LeetCode question. The question was a hypothetical scenario about a manufacturing machine operation.
Third Round: This was a take-home test with three LeetCode-style questions. Those questions were not directly from LeetCode but required a lot of programming. The take-home test was for one day, so it was not bad at all.
Fourth Round: This was the panel. Here, you interview with 5-7 people for 30 minutes each. You start with a 30-minute presentation on your best technical project, then have back-to-back interviews. Questions were mainly on linked lists and binary trees, also SQL and Pandas questions. This was the most challenging round of the interview.
Fifth Round: This was a technical interview with one of the senior managers, which was not too bad at all.
Last Round: This involved writing a letter on why you think you are a good fit for Tesla.
The process took around 2 months and required a lot of studying and knowledge in LeetCode and OOP.
