The recruiter gave me a 60-minute code test without clearly telling me that the evaluation was based on compilation.
I finished them in time, even spending time writing clear comments to make the code clean and readable, expecting a human would read it and see the code quality.
Instead, I got rejected simply because they didn't pass compilation.
If that was the requirement, they should have told me this up front, so I would have focused on testing compilation instead of code quality.
