Around March 2012, I applied online for general engineering internship positions and was contacted by a recruiter for a phone interview. This was basically to get to know me and see if I knew the company and was passionate.
After the HR interview, HR matched me to a group that was most relevant to my skills and interests. The second phone interview was with my manager and another key engineer.
I was not given specific technical questions, but they asked me about my projects (resume). The whole recruiting process took about 3 weeks.
Since the stock has skyrocketed and applicants have flooded in, I can imagine it's much more competitive now.
