Tesla is a great and innovative company where you will work with some amazingly bright people to help drive large goals. Pay and benefits are highly competitive.
All positions are temporary. Historically, Tesla has only let go of low-performing employees during the annual "Headcount Reduction" that they are well known for. This most recent layoff in 2024 had no common denominator for people who were targeted. Long-tenured, high performers with excellent track records were among the people let go. Tesla also no longer gives annual performance bonuses at all to salaried individuals.
Keep your high performers. They're the ones propping up Tesla's success.
