Fun, but no sense of planning

Pros

Lots of different tasks in the energy R&D side of things.

I get to work with metal and wood fabrications.

I've set up test racks, working with communication and high voltage wiring.

Cons

Engineers and project managers have no sense of planning.

A good chunk of the guys who are supposed to play management roles come straight from school or a different company (basically no hands-on experience with hands-on work).

This means unrealistic timelines.

Advice to Management

Cut hiring engineers and project managers straight from school, or at least hire them as contractors. Internal promotions are a better choice, as long as they've got a better track record.
