I was given an assortment of projects during my time at Tesla and felt very fulfilled after my internship ended. The people working there were all very kind and made me feel welcomed. The engineers on my team were always open to questions and were super helpful whenever I felt stuck on a project. It felt like I was a full-time engineer as I was given a multitude of tasks ranging from small modifications to a full design of a new fixture.
Felt like some managers were having a power trip and were intimidating to interact with.
Would hear about stories of people getting yelled at in meetings with dozens of people watching.
The interview was about 45 minutes long. I mostly talked about my experience and projects. They did ask me some technical questions, but they were mostly related to my experience, such as GD&T, drawing, CAD, and machining.
There was only one interview. I was given rapid-fire technical questions at the beginning, and the rest was behavioral/resume questions. Just talk about your work and project experience, and study up on fundamental engineering problems.
Interviewed via employee referral. The process took 8 days. HR reached out to me and asked me to apply. I had two 30-minute interviews: * One interview to learn about my experience * One technical interview
