The environment was not optimal.
I submitted my resume at the Tesla Motors Career Fair in Fremont in November 2013. I had a nice talk there. About two weeks later, I got an email from the team manager to schedule a phone interview. The phone call was great and detailed, and then
Brutal. Thirty-minute interviews with HR and the hiring manager were followed by a "skill assessment." This assessment was like a third-year electrical engineering exam for a course I had not taken.
Total process was as follows: - Individual engineer interview, - Panel interview - comprised of 5-6 people in adjacent teams, - Individual panelist interview - one-on-one breakout with panelists afterwards, - Manager interview.
